SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for automatic generation of a quantum key (QK) in systems in a star topology between a central node (B) and subscriber nodes (A). At the first stage of the algorithm, the final number of n connected subscribers to the star topology network is determined by a general-purpose network request (GPNR) and the number of connected sender A units to the recipient unit B available for the current polling cycle, obtaining unique identifiers from each subscriber unit A by the recipient unit B, which provides a map of availability within the current polling cycle of connected A and sequence of polling of all available A. Polling of all switching pins is provided by means of the smallest connection port in order to assign to each port of the optical switch, which switches synchronization channels (OS2), its sender unit A, wherein every unit A transmits its unique identifier in sync word. Next stage begins with a calibration mode, which begins after receiving confirmation of readiness to establish a network and quantum connection from A in response to the GPNR, in the process of which service messages are exchanged between A and B, and upon completion of the setup, QK is generated between B and current A. Final stage is the QK generation, which takes place before the QK accumulation or before the set time, but in the absence of the QK accumulated for the allotted time period, the accumulated value is reset, after which the next device is interfaced according to the priority map.
EFFECT: high stability of the quantum key distribution system.
