FIELD: optical communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: subscriber device for quantum key distribution systems at side frequencies comprises a power supply unit, an electrical conversion module comprising programmable logic integrated circuits with the possibility of updating their software using a software-hardware complex for remote updating of system software of quantum key distribution modules in a star topology network, optical conversion module, a device for precision emission of weakened coherent states, arranged in accordance with the method of placing and organizing the optical conversion module, which provides thermal stabilization and thermal control of optical elements with fast access to modules, optically interfaced with central device by means of two fibre channels: quantum channel, through which quasi-single-photon pulses generated by the precision emission device of weakened coherent states are transmitted, and a synchronization channel operating in accordance with a method of organizing synchronization and generation of states using a single pulsed laser radiation source for quantum key distribution systems at side frequencies in a star topology.

EFFECT: reduced noise level in the optical communication channel, as well as high accuracy of monitoring the characteristic of coherent states – the average number of photons in a pulse.
