FIELD: communication devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transmission and broadcasting of voice information and can be used in communication devices. Spectrum analysis of noise or additive mixture of voice signal and noise for "sliding window", broken into two analysis intervals, each of which consists of several intervals of equal duration. Spectral analysis is carried out by analyzing multifrequency periodic signals represented by digital readings using compensation of combination components. Method includes finding the power values dispersion for analysis intervals for each harmonic, calculating the average power variance values of the first and second analysis intervals. Value of difference of average values of power variances is compared with threshold. It is considered that in the second analysis interval there is only noise if the value of the difference of the average values of the power dispersion does not exceed the threshold, otherwise it is considered that in the second analysis interval there is a signal or a mixture of the signal and noise. Slide is moved to preset number of intervals. Described procedure is repeated. When the method is used at signal power and interference ratio values close to 1, the probability of a correct decision on the appearance of a voice signal close to 0.998 is provided, wherein the probability of false alarm, i.e. decision on appearance of voice signal in its absence is equal to 0.05.
EFFECT: high efficiency of making the correct decision on the appearance of a voice signal in the presence of acoustic noise.
