DEVICE FOR SAMPLING FOR COMPARATIVE TESTING OF ADHESION PROPERTIES OF MATERIALS OF FILTERING ELEMENTS OF COALESCING FILTERS Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC G01N1/02

Abstract RU 2836502 C1

FIELD: physics; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: device for sampling for comparative testing of adhesion properties of materials of filtering elements of coalescing filters relates to testing equipment and can be used for comparative study of adhesion of several materials of filter elements or substances, which are used as additives (modifiers) in materials of filtering elements of coalescing filters for gaseous and liquid media. Device serves for sampling aerosol or emulsion from flow of gaseous or liquid medium under action of forces of intermolecular interaction with various materials. Sampling device for comparative testing of adhesion properties of materials of filtering elements of coalescing filters consists of a demountable polygonal, round or oval housing and two or more detachable holders of tested materials located inside it. Holders are arranged along aerosol or emulsion flow direction parallel to each other in vertical position. Investigated materials are fixed in the holders by pressing to the main plate from both sides by means of stencils having windows of the specified area. After deposition on the surface of the compared materials, they are removed from the device and subjected to extraction with solvents. Obtained extracts are analysed by physical and chemical methods (UV-, IR-spectroscopy, gas or liquid chromatography, and so forth).

EFFECT: comparative study of adhesion of aerosols and emulsions with different materials under identical conditions with possibility of varying flow rate, concentration of particles, pressure and temperature.
