SUBSTANCE: modular system for constructing an elevated walkway for transporting passengers and micromobility devices comprises a first track section comprising a first portion of a raised platform; first edge supports for carrying the load of the first part of the raised platform, wherein the first edge supports contact the ground surface and create a level separation between the ground surface and the lower side of the first part of the elevated platform; and a first joint that is located along the edge of the first portion of the raised platform. Modular system also comprises a second track section comprising a second portion of an elevated platform; second edge supports for carrying the load of the second part of the elevated platform, wherein the second edge supports contact the surface of the earth and create a level separation between the surface of the earth and the lower side of the second part of the elevated platform; and a second joint located along the edge of the second portion of the elevated platform for attachment to the first joint and limiting movement of the second portion of the track relative to the first track portion.
