FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, specifically to a method for combined production of electrical energy and nitrogen oxide in a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC), oxygen-containing gas is fed into cathode chamber while ammonia-containing gas stream is fed into anode chamber to produce electric current and nitrogen oxide. Anode material contains a composition A1-xA'xB1-yB'yO3-δ, in which A is selected from a group consisting of La, Y, Sm, Pr, Nd and Gd, A' is selected from a group consisting of Ca, Sr and Ba, B and B' is selected from a group consisting of Co, Fe, Mn, Cr and V or mixtures thereof; x is in range from 0.05 to 0.6 and, in particular, from 0.1 to 0.4, y is in range from 0 to 1 and δ is in range from 0.025 to 0.3. Present invention also discloses a solid oxide fuel cell and a stack of solid oxide fuel cells for implementing the method and a method of producing nitric acid during operation of solid oxide fuel cells.
EFFECT: increased specific power of SOFC.
