Using user equipment, transmitting auxiliary information to a network device of a serving network, wherein the auxiliary information is configured to indicate at least one parameter for switching user equipment from the serving network to the target network; and receiving first information on configuration of measurement gap determined by network device according to auxiliary information.
EFFECT: high accuracy of obtaining a more suitable measurement gap by user equipment.
