FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of contactless determination of distance to remote observed objects in scattering media and can be used to form an image of a map of distances to observed objects. In the method of forming an image of a distance map to observed objects in scattering media, the measured average levels of background components are subtracted from the odd and even video frames formed on the matrix photodetector after pulsed dynamic exposure, where each odd image frame is formed by pulsed exposure corresponding to the value of the selected range of distances to the observed objects, and each even image frame is formed with increasing exposure as the range increases.
EFFECT: high accuracy of forming an image of a range map to observed objects in scattering media.
