FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to precipitation methods of purifying waste water from fluorine and can be used in mining, metallurgy, chemical and other industries. Method of purifying waste water from fluorine involves reacting water with calcium chloride and a seed material, binding fluorine into a solid phase, precipitating fluorine from water and separating the fluoride-containing precipitate from water. Excess calcium chloride in weight ratio to fluoride ion is used in range of 5:1 to 10:1. Inoculating material used is an aluminosilicate composition which is formed by wastes from enrichment of loparite ore, which is pre-treated with hydrochloric acid until release of hydrogen sulphide ceases, or an aluminosilicate composition – hollow rock, which is formed during extraction of loparite ore. To prepare the inoculum, calcium fluoride is applied on the surface of the aluminosilicate composition in amount of 1 wt.%.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of purification of waste water from fluorine ions.
