FIELD: technology of inorganic substances.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the production of solutions of iron and aluminium sulphate used as coagulants for wastewater treatment. The method for producing a coagulant involves treating iron ore enrichment waste with a sulphuric acid solution with a concentration of 40-50%. The ratio of iron ore enrichment waste to acid reagent is at least 1:1 g/ml. The resulting mixture is left to stand for at least 60 minutes at 90-100°C. The resulting suspension is filtered to obtain solid and liquid phases. The solid phase is washed until the pH of the wash solution is neutral to obtain a solid and liquid phase. The sandy sediment is sent for disposal. The liquid phase containing iron and aluminium ions is mixed with the liquid phase remaining after filtering the suspension. Then a quantitative analysis of the iron and aluminium content is carried out and the effective dose of the coagulant is determined.
EFFECT: increases the efficiency of wastewater treatment and recycling of iron ore production waste.
