FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of industrial high-fluorine waste water from fluorides by precipitation and can be used for treatment of waste water from production of hydrofluoric or phosphoric acid or aluminium metal. Method of purifying waste water from fluorides consists in treatment thereof with an aluminium-containing reagent and subsequent separation of liquid and solid phases by settling. Aluminium-containing reagent used is nepheline – apatite-nepheline ore dressing wastes with aluminium : fluorine ratio equal to (0.1–0.5):1. Precipitation is carried out using a medium-charge low-molecular anionic flocculant, which is a sodium salt of acrylic acid in dosage of 5–20 mg/dm3.
EFFECT: reduced residual content of fluoride ions in purified water, as well as reduced reagent costs.
