SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over operation of gas pumping units of booster compressor station of gas field. Method of controlling overload of gas pumping units of one shop of a booster compressor station includes a system for automatic control and regulation of a compressor shop with a given number of operated gas pumping units – GPU, which controls and regulates the efficiency of the compressor shop, for this purpose, at GPU start-up after reaching the "Ring" mode, as control parameters of the impact on the control system of the compressor shop, the minimum surging margin, the number of revolutions of the power turbine, the output pressure taking into account the setting by the surging margin, the automatic boost of the power turbine revolutions are set, then, in order to smooth GPU overload, the service personnel switches on the "Unload GPU" button for the unloaded GPU, then switches on the "Ring-Magistral" button on the GPU AWS for the loaded GPU, on the unloaded GPU automatic readjustment of the limiting circuits takes place, during GPU reloading of unloaded and loaded GPU automatic control system revolutions of power turbine and gas pressure at GPU outlet are automatically controlled in accordance with preset values.

EFFECT: optimization of operation of technological mode of compressor shop, reduction of human factor impact at transient modes of compressor shop.
