FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive and tractor trailers, and more specifically to inertial brakes of single-axle trailers. Single-axle trailer inertial brake comprises a traction lever made integral with the trailer frame resting on the axle of the running wheels, rod is connected by its front part with towing device of tractor, installed inside housing of traction lever with possibility of axial movement, pressed by compression spring towards trailer movement, which rests against collar made inside housing of traction lever. Trailer running wheels are made rotary in horizontal plane and fixed through hubs on steering knuckles connected by means of vertically located pins with trailer running wheels axle, at that, each of steering knuckles is made integral with rotary lever. Rotary levers are located coaxially to trailer running axle in transverse vertical plane, and free ends of rotary levers are pivotally connected to rods connected to stock by means of hinged fixture located in front of axle of running wheels along trailer travel.

EFFECT: providing trailer braking at reduction of tractor speed by means of synchronous turning in different directions of trailer wheels in horizontal plane through equal angles relative to longitudinal central axis of transport train, reducing braking distance of transport train and improving its safety in operation.
