FIELD: unmanned aerial vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of holding a position by an unmanned aerial vehicle in the vicinity of a given object and two versions of a device for its implementation. To hold position in horizon stabilization mode, unmanned aerial vehicle is moved with air speed exceeding wind speed, speed of monotonous change of heading is reduced, at the same time air speed of rectilinear movement along the heading is increased, if the distance to the specified object decreases or remains unchanged, and vice versa, if it increases. Both devices comprise a radio signal receiver from a transmitter mounted on a given object, a flight controller. In compliance with second version, device further comprises control unit connected to radio signal receiver and flight controller.
EFFECT: position is maintained by an unmanned aerial vehicle without the use of on-board navigation devices and distance sensors.
