SUBSTANCE: system comprises a light source, an optical illumination system comprising an integrating rod and a folding mirror, digital micromirror device configured to reflect directional light to a predetermined location as light in an on state or to reflect directional light as light in an off state into a light absorber, as well as a controller, which determines the deviation between the actual orientation angle and the expected orientation angle of the corresponding micromirrors from the plurality of micromirrors, calculating the first rotational adjustment value corresponding to the folding mirror, and a second lateral adjustment value corresponding to the integrating rod, and actuating the folding mirror and the integrating rod according to the corresponding first and second values.

EFFECT: invention provides high contrast ratio and image clarity.
