FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of controlling quality of vegetables and fruits during their sorting on a conveyor. Method for optical quality control and determination of the size of fruit and vegetable products consists in providing an optical effect on an object, recording the reflected radiation during the time it takes the object to complete a revolution, and comparing the obtained image with a database containing a plurality of images. At the same time tracking of each unit of fruit and vegetable products is carried out in a video stream from an infrared range camera. Camera sight angle θ relative to normal to conveyor plane π are selected taking into account maximum operating speed of products so that the entire surface of the object can fall into the field of view of the camera. Measurement of the product radius is performed on the conveyor section closest to the chamber by angular coordinates of the lines of sight of the lower, central and upper points of the product image. Analysis for the presence of defects is carried out using processing algorithms based on the use of artificial convolutional neural networks.
EFFECT: simplification of determination of sizes of fruit-and-vegetable products of spherical shape and simultaneous performance of optical control of their quality.
