SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a spinning solution for producing polyacrylonitrile fibre, as well as an apparatus for producing a spinning solution. Method of producing spinning solution for production of polyacrylonitrile fibres consists in mixing polyacrylonitrile powder with dimethylacetamide cooled to temperature from -10 to -5 °C, feeding the suspension into the twin-screw apparatus and gradually heating it in the first functional zone of the apparatus at a temperature gradient of 70-90 °C, bringing the suspension to swelling and transition into a homogeneous solution, degassing in the second functional zone at pressure of 50⋅10³ Pa. Apparatus for producing spinning solution consists of a housing, a loading hopper built into the housing of the apparatus, heating elements, two kneading elements located inside the housing, a vacuum pump connected to the apparatus, and an outlet hole. Modular housing is made of ten separate units, which allow providing the required length of the mixer. Electric heating elements are used as heating elements, which are built into each separate housing unit of the device and provide for uniform heating by weight. Two assembly augers with conveying and kneading auger elements are used as kneading elements.

EFFECT: method and apparatus for producing a homogeneous spinning solution for producing polyacrylonitrile fibres increases dynamic viscosity and homogeneity of the spinning solution.
