FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hardening processing of parts and is intended for use primarily in machine building. Method of making a composite electrode for electrospark alloying involves sintering the electrode from bronze powder by spark plasma sintering and cutting into square-section bars. Bronze powder is mixed with carbon nanotubes powder, which fraction in the mixture is from 0.02 to 3% of weight of bronze powder, 1-3 ml of isopropyl alcohol is added to the obtained mixture, and before sintering of electrodes the mixture is mixed in a ball mill.
EFFECT: obtaining a composite electrode for electrospark alloying, which enables to reduce the coefficient of friction at liquid or boundary friction and wear of the coating and mating part.
