FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to metal composites based on an aluminium matrix reinforced with graphene, and can be used to produce cable and wire products. Method involves production of molten electrotechnical aluminium, its supply to furnace-mixer for refining, purification and finishing of the melt with simultaneous supply of graphene to the melt and subsequent supply of the melt through the casting tray to the crystallizer to obtain a workpiece, the cross-section of which has the form of a trapezoid. Billet is subjected to hot rolling to produce wire rod. Graphene is fed into the melt in the form of single-wall graphene tubes with their concentration in the total mass of melt of 0.05 wt.%, and achieving their uniform distribution in the melt volume. Obtained melt of electrotechnical aluminium and single-wall graphene tubes are fed into the crystallizer via a casting tray made of electrically insulating material. At the beginning of the tray and in front of the crystallizer two electrodes are installed, through which current of 200-500 A is supplied to the melt, the direction of which coincides with the direction of movement of the melt in the tray. Blocks of inductance coils are installed between two electrodes, to which current is supplied to form an electromagnetic field in the form of a cone, which provides orientation of single-wall graphene tubes, which coincides with the axis of melt flow.

EFFECT: increase of electrical conductivity of electrotechnical material, as well as provision of high manufacturability of material during deformation processing and resistance to multiple bends and bends.
