FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to urology, and concerns a method of treating exacerbation of chronic recurrent cystitis with underlying neurogenic dysfunction of lower urinary tract in patients with a functioning cystostoma following a spinal injury. With underlying parenteral antibacterial therapy, polyvalent pyobacteriophage solution is applied locally in the form of intravesical installations in amount of 40 ml 2 times a day and orally 20 ml 3 times a day; the integrated treatment course is 10 days.
EFFECT: invention provides more effective treatment of patients with chronic recurrent cystitis with underlying functioning cystostoma due to neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD) in patients after spinal injury, reduced rate of recurrent infection, reduced length of treatment of inflammatory process and length of stay in hospital, reduced mortality.
