FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: method of determining a first paging frame corresponding to a paging early indication (PEI) performed by a user equipment or a network device includes: determining the difference between the system frame number of the paging frame in which the possible paging time interval (PO) is located, tracked by the user equipment, and the first value as the system frame number of the first paging frame corresponding to the PEI, wherein the first value is determined in accordance with the relative PO index tracked by the user equipment relative to one or more POs corresponding to the PEI, and the number of POs in one paging frame.
EFFECT: providing accurate paging early indication (PEI) positioning, which enables user equipment (UE) to accurately receive downlink control information (DCI).
