Terminal receives configuration information for packet paging, wherein the configuration information is used at least to indicate whether the network supports or does not support the terminal receiving paging group information by a predetermined method, wherein the paging group information is used by the terminal to monitor the paging message.
EFFECT: high reliability of paging a terminal by a subgroup paging method by reducing the number of paging errors compared to an approach where subgroup information for paging is always obtained using a predetermined method without determining whether the network supports this predetermined method.
