SUBSTANCE: result is achieved due to method of information protection against leakage along spurious electromagnetic radiation channel and interference, in which at the adjustment step, a colour space is selected, which includes the required number of M colours for displaying the protected information, test signals of the video system are generated, TEMPEST signals of the protected computer equipment are recorded and values of TEMPEST levels are found for all colour shades of the test signal of the video system, M display colours are selected for one of each sample of colour shades of the test signal of the video system, which reduce the contrast of the TEMPEST levels, selecting the probabilities of using the colour shades of the test signal of the video system, which provide the similarity of the average values and spreads of the levels of TEMPEST for all samples of colour shades, and at the stage of protected information processing, the initial colours of the protected image are converted to the selected display colours and the pixel colours are randomly changed to mask the residual contrast of the TEMPEST levels in accordance with the selected probabilities of using the colour tones of the test signal of the video system.

EFFECT: increased protection of information of computer equipment.
