SUBSTANCE: in the proposed method for protecting computer equipment (CE) against information leakage through the channel of side electromagnetic radiation and interference (SEMRI), which includes the transfer of information via information communication line between receiving and transmitting sides of the CE equipment, a sequence of N frequency harmonic hoppings of the side electromagnetic radiation (SEMR) of computer video display module (VDM) is created in FM-range due to a serial switch of M possible pixel update rates on the screen to VDM, wherein the sequence order of M possible pixel update rates is determined by a pseudo-random sequence, the values of possible pixel update rates of the computer screen are chosen in such a way that frequency harmonic hoppings of the VDM SEMR exceed bandpass of the FM-intercept receiver. The main source of SEMR of the computer VDM in the FM-range is the information communication line between the receiving and transmitting sides of the CE equipment, made in the form of an interface cable connecting the system unit and computer monitor, wherein formation of frequency hoppings of SEMR of the computer VDM is carried out in a deferred mode, the duration of which is determined by the duration of the time interval during which the computer monitor is turned off as a result of sleep mode setting with no user activity and during which an intruder transmits private data via SEMR channel of the computer VDM. FM-radiation intercept receiver is not aware of time-frequency matrix of informative SEMR of computer VDM and it does not have information on what position SEMR of computer VDM will take up in the time-frequency matrix during next jump the frequency harmonic hopping.
EFFECT: reduced complexity of the technical implementation of information protection in computer equipment against leakage through the channel of side electromagnetic radiation and interference.
