FIELD: liquefaction, solidification or separation of gases.

SUBSTANCE: in the natural gas partial liquefaction plant located at the gas distribution station (GDS), natural gas is supplied from the main gas pipeline through the distribution unit of the gas distribution station. Wherein annular nozzle of external expansion is used to cool gas to liquefied state so that swirler is arranged in nozzle throat zone to create outer boundary of gas jet cooled to liquid state. Cylindrical shell of the nozzle is attached to the Eiffel chamber, to which, in its turn, a supersonic diffuser is attached axially symmetric to the nozzle. Inlet part of the supersonic diffuser is equipped with a shell forming an annular slot with the diffuser at the level of the outer boundary of the gas jet behind the nozzle for receiving liquefied gas particles. Supersonic swirled jet flowing from the nozzle of external expansion, not limited by walls of the diffuser, is a free boundary, which provides the lowest gas temperature sufficient for its liquefaction. Annular slot is equipped with a collector, the lower part of which is connected to the liquefied gas collection tank, and the upper part is connected to the cavity of the Eiffel chamber for gas return to the supersonic diffuser and then to the outlet from the GDS together with the main gas flow.
