FIELD: natural gas liquefaction.
SUBSTANCE: in the plant for the partial liquefaction of natural gas, located at the GDS, a gas cooling method based on the Hirsch effect in vortex tubes is used. A feature of the installation is the use of vortex tubes with supersonic gas flow in the Laval nozzles of the swirler. In this case, two vortex tubes connected in series form a block. The hot gas flows after each vortex tube, having different pressures, are combined into a single flow in the mixing chamber and the gas ejector diffuser. The ejector parameters are selected from the condition that the pressure behind the ejector is equal to the gas pressure maintained by the GDS pressure regulator in the network. Gas sampling to the block of vortex tubes is carried out from the main gas pipeline at the inlet to the GDS.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency and simplifying the design of the gas liquefaction plant.
