FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: method of making wax models of turbine blades for investment casting involves installation on ceramic rods of disposable stops with height equal to the thickness of the wall of the wax model, production of wax model by pressing with placement in it of at least one ceramic core, preparation of wax model feather before assembly of model block. Disposable supports used are rigid polymer articles of conical or hemispherical shape with height of 0.8-3 mm, which is equal to the thickness of the wall of the wing profile of the wax model, which are installed on the ceramic rod on the side of the back and on the side of the trough of the wax model. Disposable polymer supports do not form ash residue during combustion.
EFFECT: provides for elimination of wall thickness difference in the thickness of the blade feather profile and increase in the yield of suitable wax models due to elimination of warping and breakage of the rod in the process of wax model pressing.
