FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extraction of nickel from raw materials for extraction of high-purity nickel in form of nickel hydroxide. Method includes reducing heat treatment of the first raw material containing nickel and lithium, further leaching of thermally treated product. Annealing with thermal treatment of the second raw material containing nickel and sulphur. First leaching residue obtained as a result of the first leaching process and the roasting product obtained as a result of roasting are leached. Obtained leaching product is neutralized. After neutralization, the neutralized solution is purified with removal of impurities. Thereafter, deposition with extraction of nickel is carried out from the purified solution, as well as extraction of nickel hydroxide as a result of the deposition process.
EFFECT: method enables to extract nickel from raw materials in form of nickel hydroxide.
