FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used in production of shells by deformation of sheet workpiece by puncheon in female die. To produce puncheon, shell model workpiece is installed in matrix unit. Matrix assembly is placed in a die with a working chamber, into which a granular medium is filled. Its melting point is lower than that of isothermal stamping of the model workpiece. Die is heated to temperature of transition of granular medium into viscous-liquid state and then to temperature of isothermal stamping of model workpiece. Puncheon with protrusions acts on viscous-liquid medium. Shell model is obtained. Die is cooled to transition of viscous-liquid medium into solid phase to produce male die end. Matrix unit, in which shell workpiece is installed and fixed, is installed in die. Die is heated to temperature of isothermal forming of the shell workpiece, which is lower than the melting point of the material of the punch end face. Workpiece is exposed to the puncheon.
EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to obtain shells by isothermal stamping.
