FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a platform vehicle for a warehouse robotic system and a method of controlling it. Vehicle is made with possibility of vertical movement up and down on two storage racks located on opposite sides of the platform. Vehicle comprises: platform, clutch system. Clutch system is configured to be coupled with two storage racks. Clutch system includes: first and second clutch assemblies, first and second guide slots. Clutch assemblies are made with possibility selective interaction with rack elements of engagement and movement between neutral and extended position. Guide slots are made with possibility to limit movement of clutch assemblies so that clutch assemblies, when moving to their neutral position in longitudinal direction, are guided by guide slots to their neutral position in transverse direction.
EFFECT: improved ability of vehicle to be correctly attached to storage racks and to move properly in vertical direction.
