FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and can be used in open development of steeply dipping and inclined deposits of mineral raw materials. Method involves division of rock massif into production blocks and identification of high-priority zones of mineral raw material processing. At that, creation of additional plane of exposure is performed by cutting of semi-trench along natural slope throughout the length of production block, creation of niche for working and process sites for drifting in temporarily non-working open pit wall on upper horizon. Production block is divided into finished, preparatory and prepared blocks in each level. Development is started from the production block of the upper level with further transition to the following levels. For development of production blocks at each level in each block a tunnel is driven from the niche and fixed. Explosive wells and bore pits are drilled in a fan manner into the roof and sides of the tunnel and the massif of rocks of the ready block is softened by initiation of explosive charges. As per results of weakening of mine rock massif of the ready block there formed is an excavating block, transport berms and excavating cuts are arranged along the destructed mineral. Rocks of finished block are loaded into vehicles by excavator. Also, stocks of the preparatory and prepared block are developed, and then each next level is mined in descending order with alternate development of finished, preparatory and prepared blocks of the production block.

EFFECT: providing access to reserves lying on lower horizons of a temporarily non-working open-pit wall, which will allow reducing labour intensity and increasing the speed of development of open-pit field reserves.
