FIELD: fire-fighting means.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to increase fire safety (localization and extinguishing of fires, removal of combustion products) of ventilated premises and is used for ventilation systems of premises. Invention provides for the modernization of the standard ventilation system installed on the premise, so that when fire hazard increases, sprayed fine water or a mixture of inert gas and sprayed fine water is added to the air supplied through the ventilation system and the ventilation of the room is carried out with a fire-extinguishing gas-water mixture consisting of air and finely dispersed water, or with a mixture of air, finely dispersed water and an inert gas. Dilution of the supplied air is performed due to installation of at least one gas mixer in at least one air duct of the standard installed ventilation system; at that, in the gas mixer there installed is at least one nozzle for water spraying into fine mist.

EFFECT: ventilation of emergency room with gas-water mixture results in decrease of temperature, retardation of combustion processes, localization and extinguishing of fires, removal of combustion products, deposition of smoke and other combustion products in the protected room.
