SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recognition of biometric templates relating to a person in images or video data, in particular to identification of a person from an image of his face and palm. Disclosed is a system for identifying a user, in which a user is first recognized by a face, if the recognition reliability is below a predetermined first threshold, but above a predetermined second threshold, the user is recognized by a palm, wherein during recognition by palm taking into account its temperature.
EFFECT: high accuracy and speed of identifying a person.
