SUBSTANCE: invention relates to portable devices for displaying symbolic-graphic information and augmented reality. Optical module of augmented reality device comprises a radiation source and an associated lighting lens, display, eyepiece, polarizing beam-splitting prism with beam-splitting element, a first optical axis associated with the radiation source and the illumination lens, and a second optical axis associated with the display and aligned with the optical axis of the eyepiece, waveguide plate and input prism connected to it, collective lens is introduced between display and polarizing beam-splitting prism, optical axis of which coincides with the second optical axis of the polarizing beam-splitting prism, and the focal distance of the collective lens is equal to the doubled sum of the thicknesses of the polarizing beam-splitting prism and the eyepiece, the eyepiece is made with a flat front surface of the eyepiece and the back surface of the eyepiece, display is placed beyond the edge of the polarizing beam-splitting prism into the front focal plane of the eyepiece, the exit pupil of the eyepiece is made coinciding with the plane of the image of the radiation source, and an aperture diaphragm is installed in the plane of the exit pupil of the eyepiece.
EFFECT: high uniformity of brightness of the output image.
