FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: optical device for generating augmented reality images comprises a light source, a condenser and a microdisplay. The device additionally includes a light guide with a built-in input means. The input means enables to form two orthogonally polarised beams. An information output is provided by an output means, which comprises two polarisation beam splitters, a focusing optical element and a quarter-wave plate.
EFFECT: larger field of view and reduced thickness.
