FIELD: space engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of space engineering, in particular to methods of controlling the orientation system of solar batteries (SB) of a spacecraft (SC) when surveying the Earth. For this purpose, the SB installation angle, SB motion time and spacecraft position stabilization time are determined when SB is turned through a threshold angle. Mode of surveys and sessions is determined by measuring time intervals between single surveys based on an external signal consisting of leading and trailing edges corresponding to the beginning and termination of the survey. On the leading edge of this signal, movement is stopped, and on the trailing edge, movement of the solar panel is allowed. During the first survey, the SB position is synchronized. If SB for surveying was stopped forcibly, value of SB threshold angle is reduced. Further, there are two versions of control over SB movement with simultaneous or alternate movement of SB.
EFFECT: improved quality of images of the Earth survey from the spacecraft and reduced losses of electric power.
