FIELD: ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to small arms ammunition, in particular to cartridges for firing from weapons with a rifled barrel at short and medium distances, namely to cartridges with non-expansive shell bullets, and can be used for firing at quadcopters and other small-sized low-flying targets. A cartridge of small arms consists of a case with a primer-igniter, a propellant charge and a bullet fixed in the case and made with an ogival head and a cylindrical drive part. Total length of the bullet varies from 5.5 to 8.5 calibres. Small arms cartridge is made in calibre 5.45 mm. Bullet centre of gravity is shifted to its tail part. Weight of propellant charge is reduced by 25.0-45.0% of value 1.43-1.45 g.

EFFECT: creation of cartridge of small arms with increased efficiency of target destruction, connected with increase of hitting area due to unstable bullet flight and its rotation around centre of gravity of bullet with acceptable accuracy; advantage of the proposed cartridge is that for a soldier there is no need for additional weapons in combat conditions, because cartridge is made in calibre 5_45 mm, which is most common in troops.
