SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, namely to a cartridge of small arms with a bullet. Cartridge of small arms with a bullet contains a case with a primer-igniter, a propellant charge and a bullet with an ogival head part, a leading part and a tail part made in the form of a truncated cone. Shell is made with longitudinal projections and with a core placed in it. Number of ledges varies from 3 to 6, depending on bullet calibre. Width of the projections is from 0.6 mm to 2.0 mm. When moving along the barrel, the core located in it does not touch the barrel rifling, that is d_sh.1 < d_rifling + d_sh.2 − d_bullet, where d_bullet is the bullet diameter, d_sh.1 is the inner diameter of the shell body, measured along the longitudinal projections, d_sh.2 is the inner diameter of the shell body, measured along the cylindrical part, d_rifling is the diameter of the barrel measured along the rifling. Mounting of core in longitudinal projections is made with interference from 0.02 mm to 0.1 mm.
