FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-temperature fire-resistant sealants, and can be used for sealing gaps in transparent fire barriers in building structures intended to prevent propagation of heat radiation, smoke and fire in case of fire beyond isolated compartment. Disclosed is a fire-resistant sealant containing (in wt.%) liquid glass (30-55), kaolin (10-30), hollow sealed aluminosilicate microspheres with size of 150-600 mcm (10-40) and plasticizer (4-20).
EFFECT: high fire-resistance of the sealant and considerable reduction of heat conductivity thereof while simultaneously ensuring a long shelf life thereof.
