FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing a granulate of metformin hydrochloride and inulin by granulation, involving sieving metformin hydrochloride and inulin, mixing metformin hydrochloride and inulin, granulation, drying, characterized by that metformin hydrochloride and inulin are sieved through sieves with a hole diameter of 0.2 mm, after which a binder solution is prepared by dissolving inulin in purified water with concentration of 5 to 25 wt.%, then at room temperature metformin hydrochloride and inulin are mixed at a ratio of metformin hydrochloride : inulin equal to 250-1000 mg : 50-500 mg, respectively, with 5-25 wt.% water solution of inulin with weight ratio of mixture of inulin and metformin hydrochloride : inulin solution equal to 311.25-1522.5 mg : 45-225 mg, in a mixer with a paddle mixer at revolutions from 50 to 100 per minute until uniform mixing for 5 to 10 minutes, obtained mass is granulated by wet granulation by rubbing the obtained mass through perforated sieves with a hole diameter of 1 mm, after which produced granulate is dried at temperature of 40 °C to residual moisture content equal to 1.3-4.76 wt.%.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing granules of metformin hydrochloride and inulin by granulation.
