FIELD: analytical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for conductometric quantitative determination of the concentration of tetramethylammonium hydroxide in a solution, which includes collecting and preparing samples of the analysed tetramethylammonium hydroxide solution, constructing a calibration curve, specific conductivity of the teramethylammonium hydroxide solution is measured and its concentration is calculated. Quantitative determination of the concentration of tetramethylammonium hydroxide is carried out by direct measurement of the specific electrical conductivity of a concentrated aqueous solution of tetramethylammonium hydroxide at temperature of 20 °C directly in the technological scheme of its production or in the taken sample.
EFFECT: invention provides an accurate, simple and fast method of monitoring concentration of tetramethylammonium hydroxide in an aqueous solution during synthesis thereof.
