FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for quantitative determination of hydrochloride of 5-aminolevulinic (5-amino-4-oxopentanoic) acid (ALA) - endogenous amino acid, which is a biological precursor of porphyrins in all organisms, including in the human bodies, which can be used in research and production practice. The disclosed method is realised by measuring specific conductivity of analysed ALA solutions, prepared with concentration of samples equal to 1.0 g/l. Specific conductivity is measured at temperature 20°C and content of the basic substance in the ALA is calculated using a calibration curve or a formula.
EFFECT: method for conductometric quantitative determination of ALA is easy to implement and speeds up analysis of the content of the basic substance in ALA, which facilitates its implementation in manufacturing environment as a rapid test method.
