SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical industry and concerns a method for preparing an agent having nootropic and antioxidant activity. Method for producing an agent having nootropic and antioxidant activity, wherein a plant material consisting of: Baikal skullcap roots, Leuzea uniflora roots, Phlojodicarpus sibiricus roots, Mongolian milkvetch roots, garden valerian rhizomes with roots, crushed to particle size of 2.0-3.0 mm, common nettle leaves, common knotgrass herb, crushed to particle size of 1.0-2.0 mm, in ratio of components in wt.pts. 20:18:15:15:7:15:10 is extracted at temperature of 60 °C at ratio of 1 wt.pts. plant material 10 parts by volume of extractant with 60% ethyl alcohol with constant stirring. the first contact of the phases takes place for 45 minutes and the second contact of the phases – for 30 minutes, the third contact of phases with 20% ethyl alcohol for 30 minutes. Further, the combined extracts are filtered, evaporated, purified by separation, additionally evaporated, and then dried in a vacuum drying apparatus. Above method extends the range of medicinal agents possessing neuroprotective, antioxidant action by increasing the output of extractive substances, as well as by increasing pharmacological activity.

EFFECT: obtained agent has pronounced nootropic and antioxidant action.
