FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and may be used for production of cold-rolled stock with two-phase structure for packing belt. Cold-rolled steel strip for packing band is made from steel containing the following, wt.%: carbon 0.12-0.23, silicon 0.2-0.8, manganese 1.6-2.3, aluminium 0.01-0.08, chrome 0.2-0.9, nickel not more than 0.5, copper not more than 0.5, molybdenum not more than 0.05, niobium not more than 0.02, vanadium not more than 0.02, titanium 0.003-0.05, nitrogen not more than 0.010, sulphur not more than 0.012, phosphorus not more than 0.015, boron 0.0005-0.006, iron and unavoidable impurities – the balance, wherein the strip thickness is 0.5-1.5 mm. Formed structure is a ferrite-martensite structure with bainite residues, wherein fraction of ferrite is 10-40 %. Proposed method of producing cold-rolled steel strip for packing band comprises hot rolling of continuously cast steel billets to produce strip, strip reeling, cold rolling and heat treatment at continuous-operation plant. Hot rolling is started at 1050-1150 °C, finishing at temperature 840-920 °C and is performed with total reduction of not less than 85%, cold rolling of strips is performed with relative reductions per pass of not less than 20% to produce strip with thickness of 0.5-1.5 mm, then, thermal treatment is performed in continuous-operation unit at strip speed of 23-36 m/s.
EFFECT: obtaining rolled products with high mechanical properties.
