FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is a method for accelerating selection of grape varieties, including hybridisation of parental forms, obtaining hybrid seeds, their stratification, growing seedlings, selecting hybrids ready for planting on a permanent place, characterized by that hybrid seeds are ripened for 25-35 days directly in berries until their complete decay; sowing of stratified seeds is carried out in plastic boxes filled with prepared soil mixture in ratio of sand-humus-perlite 2:1:1; when growing seedlings, top dressing is carried out: first – when planting seedlings in a nursery garden: 15% aqueous solution of nitroammophoska or 10% solution of ammonium sulphate and 10% solution of superphosphate; second – in the first decade of July, 15% solution of phosphorus-potassium fertilizers and 10% solution of wood ash; in the first decade of July, the stem formation is started by cutting the main sprout to height of 40-50 cm and side sprouts by 1-2 leaves; in a hybrid nursery garden, selection of grape hybrids is carried out with a feature of the ability to form a well-developed woody stem, mature vines on side shoots and a powerful root system.
EFFECT: acceleration of the selection process of creating new hybrid forms is carried out by reducing the time of stratification of seeds in contrast to traditional methods; withdrawal of the bole in the hybrid nursery garden in the first year of the seedling life provides the technical possibility of planting new grape hybrids in the current year or in the winter-spring period of the next year and start forming the selected hybrid already in the next growing season, and technical propagation – subsequently, which provides for 1-2 years earlier obtaining the required number of plants for the beginning of the primary variety study of new grape hybrids; higher quality of selection, since analysis is carried out in weather conditions more comfortable for research.
