SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for full-scale industrial research and testing of various electrical equipment and electrical machines. Device includes supply mains, frequency converter, electric motor, loading device, automated control system, excitation system converter. Load device includes an energy converter and an electrical machine made in the form of a synchronous generator with an excitation winding. Energy converter includes DC converter, DC link, grid-driven dependent inverter, control system, current-limiting reactor, through which the dependent inverter is connected to supply mains of frequency converter. Automated stand control system is in form of a software and hardware system consisting of an automated workstation, a stand control device which has a stand control system, a data collection and processing system and a synchronous generator parameter measuring unit.

EFFECT: reduction of electric energy consumption.
