FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in the testing device separately excited direct-current generator (DCG) connected to propulsion motor is connected to semiconductor electric energy converter (SEEC) consisting of DC converter (DCC) and inverter (I). SEEC is connected to power switchboard (PSW). To ensure energy recuperation to the mains and obtainment of propeller load characteristic of the propulsion motor control system through torque control channel at the propulsion motor shaft and voltage control channel of SEEC is used.

EFFECT: increasing testing efficiency of frequency-controlled propulsion electric drive of electric propulsion motor due to decrease in active power loss and provision of propeller load characteristic at the propulsion motor shaft.
