TEST DEVICE OF FREQUENCY-CONTROLLED PROPULSION ELECTRIC DRIVE OF ELECTRIC PROPULSION SYSTEM UNDER BENCH CONDITIONS Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G01R31/34

Abstract RU 2462728 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: proposal refers to ship systems of electric propulsion with frequency-controlled propulsion asynchronous electric motor and can be used at performance of acceptance tests of propulsion motor (PM) and electric propulsion system (EPS) under bench conditions. Aim of the proposal is to increase the efficiency of EPS tests with frequency-controlled asynchronous PM. The above aim is achieved by the fact that DC generator with independent excitation, which is coupled with PM, is connected to DC motor of the same power with independent excitation, which in its turn is linked with asynchronous electric motor providing the energy recovery to the mains. In order to increase the efficiency of energy recovery to the mains, there has been used the control system via control channel of DC generator voltage and control channel of AM rotation frequency.

EFFECT: increasing test efficiency of EPS with frequency-controlled asynchronous PM due to reducing the losses of active power, as well as control efficiency of energy recovery to the mains.
