FIELD: tools for grinding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used for production of composite grinding wheels for face grinding of rails. Composite grinding wheel is made in form of body with working abrasive surface limited by inner and outer circles of grinding wheel and formed by uniformly arranged alternating cutting elements in the form of segments on Bakelite and ceramic binders with the same hardness and grain size of the abrasive. Cutting elements are located under the condition that relative to the radial line of the grinding wheel the part of the segment on the Bakelite binder, located on the working abrasive surface at the outer circumference of the body of the grinding wheel, overlaps part of previous segment on Bakelite binder, located on abrasive working surface at inner circle of grinding wheel body.

EFFECT: higher durability of grinding wheel.
