FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used in production of composite grinding wheels for end grinding of railway track rails. Circle has a body with a working abrasive surface limited by inner and outer circles and formed by alternating cutting elements of two types with the same hardness and granularity of abrasive, having on side surface of circle trapezoid shape, large bases of which are located opposite to each other. First type of cutting elements represents a base of abrasive grains on a ceramic binder, and the second type – from abrasive grains on bakelite binder. Said elements are made in the form of segments uniformly alternating over the entire plane of one of the end surfaces of the circle, and side surfaces of each of the segments are spirally, extending from the inner to outer circumference of the body of the circle.
EFFECT: as a result, higher operational characteristics and efficiency of composite grinding wheels.
